AFI is proud to present a performance at Joe’s Pub by Mehrnam Rastegari, the 2024-2025 SHIM musician-in-residence, in partnership with Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater. Senavazi means “trio” in Persian. The ensemble features a kamancheh/Vocal, davul (dohol), and saxophone, with an electric bass guest. The group performs original compositions of Mehrnam Rastegari as well as traditional Persian, Kurdish, Balkan, and Turkish pieces, blending these musical styles into a unique performance.
