Are you an artist who has been impacted professionally or personally by the COVID-19 crisis? What types of legal questions have arisen for you as a result of the pandemic?
Join us on Friday, May 8th @ 12 pm for a virtual legal roundtable for artists.
In our recent survey, we asked artists and creatives to share the pressing professional and personal challenges they have faced since the outbreak of COVID-19, and to identify the types of legal concerns that have been catalyzed by the pandemic.
Artistic Freedom Initiative, Center for Art Law, and Mana Contemporary have synthesized the survey responses and are co-hosting a virtual roundtable to address artists’ most frequent COVID-19 related legal questions. On Friday, May 8th at 12 pm, the following areas of law will be addressed by four attorneys:
- Immigration | Presented by Sanjay Sethi
- Employment | Presented by Tana Forrester
- Housing | Presented by Norrinda Hayat
- Business Law/Contracts | Presented by Megan Noh
Immigration attorney, and AFI Executive Director, Sanjay Sethi will discuss artists’ pandemic-related immigration questions. The majority of our attorney presenters have particular experience working with the arts community.
We are especially grateful to the many artists who responded to our survey, and to those who helped us share it widely. Alongside our co-hosts, we are thrilled to share a roundtable with you that is responsive to the legal concerns facing artists right now.
