AAPP Europe Resettlement Coordinator

Yama Rahimi serves as AAPP Europe’s first resettlement coordinator, assisting artists with German visa applications and providing holistic resettlement support. Rahimi is a contemporary artist from Afghanistan. He has a bachelor of film directing from the Faculty of Fine Art at Kabul University, and he is currently in the last year of his MA degree at the Offenbach University of Art and Design in Germany. Before leaving Afghanistan,  was the assistant director of the Center for Contemporary Arts Afghanistan (CCAA). His art practice focuses on video art, conceptual photography, and conceptual short film.  Mr. Rahimi has participated in over 25 solo and group art exhibitions in Afghanistan and over 15 other countries, including the White-Chapel gallery, London, the Venice Biennial, Italy, and At the University of California, Los Angeles, United States. Since his arrival in Germany in November 2015,  Mr. Rahimi has exhibited at EBS, Hattenheim, Frauen Museum, Wiesbaden, and Nassauischerkunstverein, Wiesbaden.
