Immigrant Visas

  • EB-1 Visa – The EB-1 is a merit-based immigrant visa for artists who are recognized as being at the top of their field. Because the artist can self-petition, no employer or sponsor is required when applying. To qualify, the artist must demonstrate sustained national or international acclaim, and demonstrate extraordinary ability in the arts typically by meeting three of the ten eligibility criteria. If approved, it allows the artist to apply for permanent residence in the United States (Green Card).

  • EB-2/National Interest Waiver – The EB-2 with a National Interest Waiver is a merit-based immigrant visa. Because the artist can self-petition, no employer or sponsor is required when applying. To qualify, the individual must hold an advanced degree in their area of expertise or meet three of the seven eligibility criteria for “exceptional ability”, and must also meet the USCIS factors for a National Interest Waiver. If approved, it allows the artist to apply for permanent residence in the United States (Green Card).
