Mahsa Biglow

Communications and Events Coordinator

Mahsa Biglow is the Communications and Events Coordinator at Artistic Freedom Initiative. She supports AFI’s communications strategy and event planning, helping to ensure clear, consistent messaging across AFI teams and platforms. Mahsa is also a visual artist and a passionate advocate for freedom of expression in the arts.

Biglow has over eight years of experience in editorial work, design, and education, she has contributed to organizations such as BBC and Joan Mitchell Foundation, where she worked as an editor. She also served as Head of Communications at Kaarnamaa Institute of Art and Visual Culture and was a lecturer at Rutgers University. Her multidisciplinary approach blends storytelling and advocacy to elevate creative voices and support artists.

Originally from Tehran, Iran, Mahsa holds a BFA in Photography from the University of Tehran and an MFA from Rutgers University.
