Shervin Abachi is a Senior Associate Attorney at Sethi & Mazaheri, specializing in immigration, entertainment, and art law. His practice includes employment-based temporary and permanent visa petitions for artists and entertainers (O Visa, P Visa, and EB-1 Visa) and legal research on various entertainment matters, such as copyright, trademark, contracts, and artist agreements. He earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Rutgers University School of Law and an Art and Cultural Heritage Law Certificate from Georgetown University Law Center.

In addition to his role at Sethi and Mazaheri LLC, Shervin serves as a member of the board of advisors to the Artistic Freedom Initiative. Shervin is the founder of Malbachi LLC, a company that aims to empower immigrant artists whose circumstances make it difficult for them to express themselves or find jobs that match their talent. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Big Dance Theater, a New York City-based dance theater company known for its experimental theatrical productions, which combine dance, drama, and literature.

As an art enthusiast, Shervin is the Director of the FOLCS International Short Film Competition at the Forum on Law, Culture, and Society (FOLCS), a human rights-themed short film competition offering independent and emerging filmmakers the chance to screen their work in New York City and creatively engage the public in discussions regarding justice and popular culture. Finally, Shervin has significant experience in civil rights advocacy and community-building purposes; in this capacity, he was the co-founder and co-organizer of the Iranian Community of the Northeast (ICON), an organization seeking justice for the underrepresented Iranian community in New York City.
